Happy birthday, Oliver, you incorrigible pooch!

    Jessica,

These are priceless. They’re like 90-second morale boosters for the chronically cranky. I enjoyed ALL of them, but will affirm my partiality for “The Book Club”–for obvious reasons–especially after a lifetime of hearing about my father’s Great Books Club meetings…In fact, I think I’ll get him to have them watch your video as part of their next ‘assignment’…Keep up the good work, or rather, the good fight!

He still does respect you as the alpha Mom, (wouldn’t dare say dog), cause he at least waited until you left. Brightened my day!!!

My husband, Steve, is doing almost ALL the cooking now because he has discovered that he is a grill master. He does all the shopping and all the grilling. I have lots of energy for praise and I have to say that PRAISE WORKS! I love anything cooked by someone else.

  9. Lloyd Says:

Jessica, you are too cute. Oliver’s House! How cute, he is such a doll and a ham. GO OLIVER!!!!Rock On!

I loved all of your Crabby Cook videos, especially Praise and The Book Group. I take it Silence of the Lambs will not be one of the monthly books chosen. Water For Chocolate might work for you though. Best wishes.

(My Favorite) TURKEY BURGER RECIPE :

    1) Heat Grill to High.
    2) In a medium bowl, use a fork to combine 1 & 1/2 pounds of ground turkey (preferably 92/93 percent lean) w/ 1/2 cup of finely grated Gruyere cheese (no subsitutes! it *has* to be Gruyere!), 4 thinly sliced scallions, 1/4 cup dried breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, and 1 minced garlic clove; season generously w/ salt & pepper.
    3) Gently form mixure and make into patties. I prefer bigger thin patties, some people like smaller patties but when they grill up they can sometimes almost become a meatball.
    4) Lightly oil grill, place patties on hottest part of the grill to sear until brown, then move to cooler part of the grill and continue grilling until cooked through, generally 5 to 10 min. per side.

I apologize if this is a recipe you all have had before, or if you don’t enjoy it, but it’s never failed at our BBQ gatherings.
My only request is that you e-mail me at cmack5@verizon.net or post on this thread to let me know if you enjoyed them or not. Or if you put your own little twist to it. (I like a little dash of Worcester sauce on the burgers every once in awhile, my wife doesn’t.)

Wow this is my first ever recipe post! I’m just a Dad/Hubby who likes to cook now & again.
    Enjoy ! -Chris

I almost forgot, you can dress these babies up w/ some fresh lettuce, tomato, jalapenos (for the daring!), peppercini hots and/or another slice of fresh vidalia onion. (I take no responsabilty for onion breath afterwords!)
